Choosing A Water Damage Restoration Company - Water Damage Restoration Questions
1.00Should I contact with any of the restoration company in case of my air condition leaked water into carpet?
Q.I just want to add something that damage is not major but a few spots that are squishy when stepped on. But my partner doesn't think it is that bad and can be dried by our own fans and treated with a fungal spray.
A.As well as your question concern that the damage is not major so in that case if possible could just clean it up. You need to find out why the A/C is not draining properly.
If it's a window unit it may not be sloped properly or the drain may be plugged internally.
If in case the problem is getting increase then would be better to call up any professional.

1.00Should landlord or insurance be responsible for hiring clean up service after water damage restoration?
Q.A water pipe broke in the roof resulting in 30 days of water damage restoration. Demolition of interior walls and floors have layers of dust on all my furniture, floors, fixtures, inside cabinets. Is clean up after the restoration part of the job scope or am I stuck with footing the bill myself?
A.They should provide all clean up.
1.00Would knowledge of a previous water damage affect your decision to purchase a condo?
Q.If you also know that the repairs have been completed by a qualified restoration company --- would the knowledge of the previous damage cause you to not want to purchase the home or condo? Would it affect the price you were willing to pay?
-Also, would it make a difference if the condo was only 8 months "old" at the time of the water damage?
A.Nope. Fixed is fixed. If I were confident that the repair of the original problem and the restoration of the subsequent damage were done properly, I would have no problem with purchasing the house/condo. Also, I could not legitimately hold a cost penalty against the seller.
1.00What company does water damage restoration in Phoenix AZ?
A.I've worked with the local PuroClean on a rental property I own in the Phoenix area. I called Jason and he had a team come right out and take care of it, very professional and he worked with my insurance company to handle payment. The house looks great now, no trace of water or mold damage. I would recommend them; here is a link to how I found them.

1.00Who should pay for clean up after water damage restoration? Tenant or Landlord?
Q.A water pipe broke in the roof resulting in 30 days of water damage restoration. Demolition of interior walls and floors have layers of dust on all my furniture, floors, fixtures, inside cabinets. Is clean up after the restoration part of the job scope or am I stuck with footing the bill myself?
I live in California and the damage was actually caused by roofers making repairs to the apartment building
I have spoken to my landlord about getting a cleaning service and she initially agreed but now she said she is being nickled and dimed by the insurance company.
None of my property was damaged. But I do want all my walls, floors, cabinets cleaned. I have already spent many hours on washing all my linens, curtains, dishes, and inside of cabinets to remove the dust.
A.Usually the landlord does not provide maid service, most tenants would not be comfortable about that.
You will have to ask your landlord to clean your house if you want that, there is no way they would think to do it on their own.
1.00Would you recommend "Noah's Restoration" (Owner Mike Arrigo) in the Colorado Springs area to repair my home?
Q.My home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, received water damage, including mold damage, and we're trying to decide which restoration company to repair it. It will require landscaping as well as interior repair. Has anybody had experience with Mike Arrigo and his company, Noah's Restoration? If so, can you recommend him? Thanks.
A.I agree with the other poster, check out the BBB and ALWAYS the contractors board, those are your best sources for information.
Also do a check at the court house, see if anyone sued him for shoddy work.
1.00WHAT WILL A WATER RESTORATION COMPANY COST?
A.Most insurers cover the cost, but require policy holders to act quickly to prevent secondary damage. Mold is more likely to grow if expert water removal and water extraction is not performed, also if water damaged materials are not dried within 48 hours.

Choosing A Water Damage Restoration Company
It's easy when you have a flood damaged property on your hand, to panic and call the first name you find in the Yellow Pages. This can actually do more harm than good. Getting water restoration service processes underway is important, but it's equally important to find the right person for the job. Water and flood restoration involve specialized processes that make use of technology and man power to limit the damage to the structure from the water, inhibit the growth of mold and mildew, including dangerous black mold, and then restoring your possessions to their former pre flood state. All these techniques call for a mix of expertise and experience, and only reputed professional water damage restoration contractors can give you the 100 percent results that you need.
Your flood damage restoration contractor should have all licensing requirements in place. He should be a member of professional organizations in his industry, and must be bonded and licensed. Ask how many years of experience in flood damage restoration he has. Does he have experience handling water damage restoration service projects of the sort that you are in need of? If his experience includes smaller leakage and danger problems, then he might not qualify to handle large scale restoration projects. Ask him if he is going to sub contract parts of the project to others. If he will, then these sub contractors too should be thoroughly familiar with water restoration processes, so all these processes can work in harmony. A local water extraction service contract is always preferred to an outside company, because he will have experience handling the specific weather and environment conditions that affect the mitigation process.
Once you have asked all questions and have short listed a couple of contractors, make your choice by verifying all the information that he has given you. Does he have certification from the Water Loss Institute or the Cleaning and Restoration Certification? Check your local Better Business Bureau and look for endorsements of his service, or any pending complaints against him. Ask for a list of references and call these people. Finally, ask him for a written estimate of his services. He should absolutely be able to provide you with a written quote for the project. We help you get in touch with water damage restoration contractors in Minneapolis who have all these qualifications. Sump pump failed basement flooded. Need someone to come out as soon as possible.

Water is not properly diverted away from the home. Water enters basement from seam between first floor and basement, trickling indoors alongside the foundation. We are told we need a grading diverting the water away from the home.
