1.00Should landlord or insurance be responsible for hiring clean up service after water damage restoration?
Q.A water pipe broke in the roof resulting in 30 days of water damage restoration. Demolition of interior walls and floors have layers of dust on all my furniture, floors, fixtures, inside cabinets. Is clean up after the restoration part of the job scope or am I stuck with footing the bill myself?
A.They should provide all clean up.
1.00Where can I get a list of new jersey insurance restoration contractors.?
A.What- you had a loss and there not coming out of the woodwork- ha ha, Former Fire and Water damage GC- Dallas area.
Look in the phone book under Fire and Water Damage Restoration- you will not find a list like this- but Insurance Adjuster will know most of them. They are General Contractors who specilize in Fire and Water. Also there are companies who only do Content cleanup, like ServePro. They do Water clean up. And Furniture cleaning.
1.00Would knowledge of a previous water damage affect your decision to purchase a condo?
Q.If you also know that the repairs have been completed by a qualified restoration company --- would the knowledge of the previous damage cause you to not want to purchase the home or condo? Would it affect the price you were willing to pay?
-Also, would it make a difference if the condo was only 8 months "old" at the time of the water damage?
A.Nope. Fixed is fixed. If I were confident that the repair of the original problem and the restoration of the subsequent damage were done properly, I would have no problem with purchasing the house/condo. Also, I could not legitimately hold a cost penalty against the seller.
1.00Should I contact with any of the restoration company in case of my air condition leaked water into carpet?
Q.I just want to add something that damage is not major but a few spots that are squishy when stepped on. But my partner doesn't think it is that bad and can be dried by our own fans and treated with a fungal spray.
A.As well as your question concern that the damage is not major so in that case if possible could just clean it up. You need to find out why the A/C is not draining properly.
If it's a window unit it may not be sloped properly or the drain may be plugged internally.
If in case the problem is getting increase then would be better to call up any professional.

1.00Who should pay for clean up after water damage restoration? Tenant or Landlord?
Q.A water pipe broke in the roof resulting in 30 days of water damage restoration. Demolition of interior walls and floors have layers of dust on all my furniture, floors, fixtures, inside cabinets. Is clean up after the restoration part of the job scope or am I stuck with footing the bill myself?
I live in California and the damage was actually caused by roofers making repairs to the apartment building
I have spoken to my landlord about getting a cleaning service and she initially agreed but now she said she is being nickled and dimed by the insurance company.
None of my property was damaged. But I do want all my walls, floors, cabinets cleaned. I have already spent many hours on washing all my linens, curtains, dishes, and inside of cabinets to remove the dust.
A.Usually the landlord does not provide maid service, most tenants would not be comfortable about that.
You will have to ask your landlord to clean your house if you want that, there is no way they would think to do it on their own.

1.00What company does water damage restoration in Phoenix AZ?
A.I've worked with the local PuroClean on a rental property I own in the Phoenix area. I called Jason and he had a team come right out and take care of it, very professional and he worked with my insurance company to handle payment. The house looks great now, no trace of water or mold damage. I would recommend them; here is a link to how I found them.

Kitchen Water Damage Restoration
The kitchen is one of the rooms in the house most prone to flood damage. The number of appliances in the kitchen and the water pipes that are connected are always prone to bursts and leaks, leading to the possibility of damage of your kitchen floor, walls and other surfaces. Take care to ensure that your kitchen is always dry to avoid the possibility of flood damage. Don't leave spilt water standing on the floor too long, and make it a habit of mopping up excess water from surfaces.
Your dishwasher is prone to leaks, causing water damage in your kitchen. Check the underneath of your dishwasher regularly, and see if the hose connection to the water line is firmly secured. The base of the dishwasher is especially prone to leaks. Remember, soldered copper pipes that are used for plumbing are different from the sort of pipes that are used in dishwashers and refrigerators which are more flexible, and are therefore more prone to being ruptured. If your refrigerator includes an ice maker, check to see if the hose pipe is connected firmly to the water supply line. Leaks are very common in this line, and the earliest signs include a wet spot on the floor. If your sink has been draining slowly, or if you notice blockages more often than before, it could be signs of a water pipe that's about to burst. Caulk the areas around the sinks to minimize flood damage in your kitchen.
Water damage in your kitchen can be extensive, and costly to control. Water damaged cabinets are just one example of the havoc that a flood in the kitchen can cause. Your appliances will likely have to be serviced or replaced because the water logging may cause electrical wirings to short circuit. The growth of mold and mildew is another possibility. If flood damage in your kitchen is extensive, you may need to vacate your home for a few days until the situation is brought under control, because your house may be inhabitable without the use of a kitchen. If you've suffered extensive flood damage to your kitchen, rely on us to connect you with a Minneapolis water damage restoration contractor. Simply fill out the form, and you'll hear from the most reputed water extraction service contractors in Minneapolis. Your kitchen will be dry and back to its spic and span self in no time at all!

There is settled water in the basement of my mother-in-law's home and I want to schedule an appt to assess the damage and get a quote to clean/waterproof. The drain is not working so heavy rains cause water to come in to basement.

Water came into our basement during the rain storm this morning and I'm hoping to have someone help dry out the affected rooms...
